Who is the course suitable for?
For personnel working in a position involving direct contact with customers / members of the public, particularly in situations where they may be faced with aggressive or violent behaviour. This qualification is appropriate for anyone who may encounter such situations in the course of their work, for example those working in the care, transport or education sectors.
Please note that this qualification is only suitable for those who do not require to be SIA licenced.
Prerequisites
All candidates must pass a basic skills check, prior to the course to ensure that they have a minimum level of numeracy and literacy.
What does the course cover?
The course will help candidates to recognise when a situation is becoming confrontational and equip them with suitable skills to diffuse and calm the situation. The course comprises one unit as follows:
- Unit 1: Conflict Management
- GOLA : One hour 40 question multiple choice exam testing Unit 1
