Who is the course suitable for?
The course is particularly suitable for school leavers over the age of 18 or those new to the workplace. It is suitable for any employee requiring a basic grounding in essential workplace health and safety issues. Successful completion of this course provides accreditation for Unit 6 of 9 units, leading to the nationally recognised Level 2 Certificate in Health & Safety in the Workplace.
Unit six provides an understanding on how to deal with accidents.
Prerequisites
All candidates must pass a basic skills check, prior to the course to ensure they have a minimum level of numeracy and literacy.
What does the course cover?
The course comprises four sessions as set out below. The course is delivered by means of lectures and interactive workshops.
- Outcome 1: Understand when an internal accident book must be completed
- Outcome 2: Recognise when an accident report must be sent to the Health and Safety Executive
- Outcome 3: Recognise the importance of analysing accident reports
- Unit Six: Assignment
